I started my EMS career in December 2005. I was an EMT with Sterling volunteer Rescue Squad for 5 years. I obtained my EMT-E certification in December 2006 with Sterling Rescue. During my time at Sterling Rescue I got a job as an EMT for Physicians Transport Service (PTS) before acquiring my EMT-I certification in January 2010 and then advancing to Paramedic in January 2011. I was a released Critical Care Paramedic for PTS before getting hired with Arlington County Fire Department (ACFD) in July of 2011. During my career I became the EMS Education Coordinator for the Fire Training Academy (FTA) in June of 2016. During my time at the FTA I was responsible for training every recruit EMS, regardless if they came in with certifications. I taught, organized schedules, coordinated with hospital and field personal for medical rotations, made and administered tests both at the local and state level. My hard work over the years is acquainted to my family at home. I have been married since June of 2011 and in that time, we have had 7 children. My passion is to give high quality EMT education to the public who want to achieve their goals of becoming part of the EMS family.
